Traugutta Park

The Traugutta Park was laid out in 1925 near the site of extensive fortifications in the vicinity of Citadel. Traugutta Park is named after a leader of 1863 uprising of Warsaw.

The park is extensive and very well maintained and provides for delightful walks. It is however not advisable to walk after dark just like with other parks in bigger cities around the world.

The highlight of the park is a sessesionist statue representing motherhood. It dates back to 1902 and was made by a famous Polish sculptor Waclaw Szymanowski.
